TRION / HOW TO TRADE / ILLUSTRATED GUIDE

1. Buy a call or put

Choose the contract first. Then choose quantity and the most you will pay in total.

1 / Select the exact seriesCMPT · CALL or PUT · strikecap/floor · UTC expiry2 / Get an engine quoteQuantity: 0.5 CTRead total premium + expiry3 / Set your USDG budgetMaximum TOTAL premiumApprove maximum, then mint4 / Verify the receiptHeld CT increases by 0.5USDG spent is within your capQuote ≠ approval ≠ pending transaction ≠ confirmed mint

The recorded local purchase adds exactly 0.5 CT to the test wallet; merely requesting the quote adds nothing. The maximum premium is a total purchase budget, not a price per contract.

Read the units before entering a number

A quote is not a fill. A higher price, expired quote, stale oracle or inadequate backing can stop the transaction. Buying can lose the premium and costs.

2. Sell an option you own

A secondary swap needs executable DLMM liquidity. An entered price does not create a buyer.

Your selected seriesExact input: 0.1 CTsell owned CTDLMM bid liquidityUp to 32 bins in the walk$USDG proceeds after pool feePreview found no executable bidNo sale submitted in this recordingCT and collateral balances unchangedNo resting order. No promised partial fill.Selling transfers an option. Surrendering burns it for zero payout.

The local recording finds no executable bid in the current pool walk and stops at preview. It does not add artificial liquidity or depict a simulated final click as a sale.

Set the right fields

  1. Choose the exact series you hold; set Sell options for quote.
  2. Exact input is CT for a sell, USDG for a buy.
  3. Worst all-in price is minimum USDG/CT for a sell, maximum USDG/CT for a buy.
  4. Review the preview, then approve and swap only if acceptable. The app applies a 1% minimum-output tolerance plus your price bound.

An option operator approval covers every series on that option-token contract. Review the wallet prompt; confirm both balances after execution. Sale proceeds are not profit.

3. Back the writer sleeve

Writing contributes capital to back option obligations. It is not buying CT or adding DLMM bin liquidity.

Writer walletDeposit: 100 USDGcapitalFLAT sharesMarket + expiry sleeveCan back multiple option seriesFree collateralAvailable for issuanceor eligible redemptionReserved backingOpen option exposureNot freely withdrawableUnpaid claimsSettled holder payoutsRemain protectedPremium income − buyer payouts − costs = economic result, not fixed yield

The local clip proves a 100-unit test-token deposit, a matching increase in free capital and receipt of writer shares. No earnings forecast follows from that deposit.

Deposit, then inspect

  1. Check Selected series writer sleeve and its market/expiry.
  2. Enter capital in Collateral tokens to deposit, not CT.
  3. Approve and deposit; check the receipt, free capital and shares.

Redeeming is a different action

FLAT shares to present takes a raw integer of shares, not a requested USDG amount. Redemption pays against available capital and burns shares corresponding to cash actually paid; liabilities stay protected.

Writer capital is at risk: substantial or total loss is possible. Premium collected is not automatically profit; withdrawal of the full deposit on demand is not promised.

4. Wait for final, then claim

Expiry, proposal, finalization, series settlement and holder claim are separate events.

Two clocks — not the same 24 hours24 h source observation windowending at expiry → fixing inputExpirydelay24 h challenge windowbegins at proposal, not expiryNo challenge: finalize after 24 hChallenge: 3 matching council votesFINAL / CORRECTED fixingExact series recipe must matchSettle series → fixes payout per CTDoes not pay all holders automaticallyClaim all held CT in selected seriesBurn tokens → receive USDG payout

The recording shows live “Awaiting expiry”, then archived local test-chain proposal, challenge, final and claim states. Only a final fixing permits normal settlement; the unchallenged path waits 24 hours, while council resolution of a challenge can finalize sooner.

The standard proposal delay is six hours after expiry, with eligible evidence still required. A proposed number, a live chart price or the passage of expiry is not a claimable payout.

Governance and all five launch council seats are Trion-held. A challenge requires a bond and can forfeit it. Missing/cancelled or recipe-incompatible fixings need the separately gated fallback path, not an automatic refund.

5. Know what you can lose

Capped, collateralized options still have market, execution, oracle, governance and software risks.

BuyerCall payoff is cappedPremium can be lostCosts still matterWriter$Capital backs payoutsLoss can be totalNo fixed yieldBothNo guaranteedexit or pay dateLiquidity can vanishFixing can be disputedContracts can failFull collateralization is not a guarantee against every form of loss.

Buying spends premium; writing exposes contributed capital; neither guarantees a profitable exit. Screenshots and successful test-chain transactions are not a promise of profit or a security certification.

About these recordings. The clips were captured on a local test chain with a valueless test token before launch; the live desk at app.trion.market runs on Robinhood Chain (4663) with USDG. CMPT capped options are the only live product; the contracts are not independently audited. Read trion.market/docs/status.html before funding a wallet.
